The Rules No One Talks About
There are things men don't talk about in bathrooms. We all learned the unspoken rules without understanding why—or discussing them. This project brings those taboos to light through humor, making people think and relate to what we all experience but never say.
I drew inspiration from the walls of public bathrooms. In clubs and bathroom stalls, people leave messages - creating layers of graffiti and doodles. This allowed me to communicate ideas through humor and simple, playful illustrations. How do I capture the feeling of drawings on bathroom walls without distracting from the actual content?
Bathrooms are a topic people avoid. When I pitched this, I saw disgust on classmates' faces. The challenge: turn awkwardness into humor—making even the most embarrassed person engage.
Light, effortless design with lots of humor. Universal enough for men to relate to and women to understand. Playtesting showed humor helped people drop their hesitation and embarrassment.

I created a timed urinal selection game. The countdown creates urgency. The timer removes hesitation. Even the most distant, skeptical viewer gets pulled in and forgets they're making ridiculous decisions about urinal etiquette.
Design Language
Two typefaces create a clear distinction between system and content.
The contrast signals what's yours and what's the interface, keeping the boundary clear without words.
